Citrus Orange Color Inspiration

Citrus Orange, what a crisp color to incorporate into your next event (and your Monday)!  You can mix it with  lemon yellow, peony pink, lime green, electric blue, or berry red.  For a warmer palette, you can accent it with autumn brown, sunset gold, slate blue, or scarlet red.  Some brides are concerned with dabbling in the orange pool, but if Kate Spade designed a purse that color, you are good to go!  Check out some of our favorite hues of the Citrus spectrum!

Table Numbers

To sit or not to sit?  That is the question!  It is a common misconception that it is too difficult to figure out where people should sit and who they should converse with the day of the wedding.  Do appreciate that dinner is only about 1/4 of your wedding reception and this is an opportunity for guests to chat at a table.  Now, we are not advocates for placing guests next to each other if they just had a back break up or are secretly hooking up.  You might consider having those wonder guests be on separate sides of your room.  This is not as daunting of a task you would anticipate.  We appreciate that there are many different programs and methods for creating a guest list. However, the major issue that continuously happens is people forget to SAVE THE MOST RECENT VERSION.  Ugh.  This is quite the predicament when your guests don’t have a place to sit or your calligrapher does not create a place card because they did not receive the most updated list. If you decide to do arranged seating, make sure you allocate for some overflow as you will never know who might arrive unexpectedly!  Here are some fun table number ideas to enhance the decor of your table.

White Color Inspiration

White is a color, the perception of which is evoked by light that stimulates all three types of color sensitive cone cells in the human eye in nearly equal amounts and with high brightness compared to the surroundings. A white visual stimulation will be void of hue and grayness.  This, according to Wikipedia is white.  So what does that all mean for design and inspiration?

It can be the purest color in the room, or the backdrop for anything your heart desires.  We can’t think of a color it doesn’t go with.  And pairing multiple colors with white…super easy.  White allows those colors to be vibrant and as pure as the white.

And of course white on white will work just as well.  Everyone remembers Princess Kate and her sister, both in white.  And yet, Pippa never took away from the beauty of her sisters dress.

I’ll let you all peruse some pictures we all thought would get your Monday (and week) off to a good start.  I know this white will get us thinking as we head off to a design meeting today.  Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Redbird Skyport Hanger

Are you needing to find that “WOW” factor for your next event?  Want to show your guest something new and unexpected?  Why not check out Redbird Skyport in San Marcos.  Located within the Municipal Airport in San Marcos.  This hanger has it all for your next event.  Platinum Weddings and Events and other event industry people in the area got a chance to get a tour and information on this space recently, and what a great space it is.

Redbird Hanger

With a blank slate, there is just about anything you can do!!  The main hangar has about 10,000 Sq. Ft. of workable space.  How does that translate to guest count?  How about 300 of your closet friends for dinner and dancing.  Or 450 for a cocktail launch party.  The possibilities are endless in this space.  And I haven’t even mentioned the fact of tenting right off the hangar door to create an additional element and space.

Some really cool features to talk with the Redbird Skyport crew is their flight simulators.  There are 3 different types in their Flight school that can be used at your event.  You can even make a competition out of it 🙂

Also check out the 5 Redbird planes that are sitting around the space and can be incorporated into your overall design .

Check out a few more images from the hangar itself!  Premiere Party Central brought in the rentals for the afternoon to compliment the Redbird space and concept.  Also check out a few ideas we found that are great compliments to any hanger (including Redbird).
